On Monday, April 20, St. Joseph Healthcare volunteers were recognized for their thousands of hours of volunteer work. They were treated to a delicious lunch at the Hilton Garden Inn in Bangor where each volunteer was recognized.
Greg LaFrancois, St. Joseph Healthcare president, shared his appreciation to each volunteer with heartfelt words. Last year, volunteers collectively gave 3,785 hours of their time. Among them, two members have served 25–29 years, one has contributed over 15,000 hours and five new volunteers have recently joined the family. Each volunteer is a reminder of what community care truly looks like.
Volunteers in the hospital help in the mail room, with the Spiritual Care program, greeting at the hospital’s front desk, with the pet therapy program and at the hospital’s Homecare and Hospice program. They are vitally important to the hospital.
