A $100,000 gift was made in memory of Linda Harnum by her husband, Dick Harnum, and their children, Rick and Keeley. In her memory, St. Joseph Hospital will name the Cardiology/EKG/Nuclear Medicine Hall on the hospital’s fifth floor.

Linda grew up in Bangor and became a devoted member of the community, graduating from Bangor High School in 1959. She attended Endicott College and earned her bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University in 1963. Linda met and later married her husband while completing her junior year of college.

Linda and Dick returned to Maine, where they were blessed with two children. Those who knew Linda would often comment on her kind, unassuming and genuine nature, and her gratitude for the life and love she was given.

“We are deeply grateful to the Harnum family for their generous gift in Linda’s memory. This wonderful gift will be used to support renovations to the hospital’s inpatient care environment,” said Brad Coffey St. Joseph Foundation president.
