St. Joseph Healthcare has a dedication to the health and well-being of the people of Maine that aligns with my core beliefs as a physician. My goal is to take care of patients as if they were my own family; speaking to them with respect, caring for them with the most up-to-date therapies and being there for them and their families during the good times and the tough times.
On April 3, 2023, Theodore James, MD, MSc joined St. Joseph Gastroenterology. Dr. James is a native of Charleston, South Carolina and received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina before continuing on to complete his internship and residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Md. Additionally, he received his Master of Science in Clinical Research at the University of North Carolina while completing specialized training in Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Endoscopy.
Dr. James is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine.
