St. Joseph Interpreter Services recognized Pamela Vance for being a champion of language access by presenting her with the Friends of Interpreter Services Award. The award is presented to one employee that goes above and beyond to ensure language access to patients. Eileen Carroll-Walker shared, “Pamela has worked at St. Joseph Healthcare since 2010 as a Patient Service Representative in our Patient Access Department. Pamela has always been a champion of language access. She is always here to educate new staff members who may not have previously encountered the need for an interpreter. Pamela is a true friend of Interpreter Services and a wonderful example of living our mission.”
