“We are extremely appreciative of U.S. Senator Susan Collins for procuring $6.8 Million in federal funding for improvements to the St. Joseph Healthcare Emergency Department,” said St. Joseph foundation president, Brad Coffey. “This will make a great difference for our planned capital campaign for the Emergency Department and, ultimately, improve care quality for our community.”
In recent years, St. Joseph Healthcare’s Emergency Department has seen approximately 30,000 patient visits per year. There has been a steady increase in Emergency Department usage over the last five years. The plan is to expand the Emergency Department to better accommodate the needs of the community.
In the coming months, St. Joseph Healthcare will be sharing more information about its plans for the Emergency Department.
