Our Fill the GAP, Grocery Assistance Program helps patients and employees who are in need of a few days’ worth of food for themselves and/or their family.
The St. Joseph Healthcare Healing Arts Program was established in 2014 by a group of enthusiastic volunteers, staff and artists. The purpose of the Healing Arts Program is to enhance the healthcare environment and aid in healing and recovery. The program is overseen by the St. Joseph Healthcare Art Commission, a group of volunteers who guide the exhibition and acquisition of art in many different forms: rotating art exhibits, permanent collections, sculpture, music and performances. The growth of the Healing Arts program is supported by generous donors and the dedication of our amazing volunteers.
Our Infusion Therapy department offers services to patients with rheumatological conditions, gastrointestinal conditions and multiple sclerosis who require intravenous infusion treatments on an outpatient basis. The department also offers chemotherapy services, pre/post-operative antibiotic treatments, injections of anticoagulants, blood transfusions and infusion of I.V. fluids.
Your gift helps keep the infusion experience as comfortable as possible, allowing patients to relax in lounge chairs, watch television, read books and enjoy refreshments while receiving treatments.
St. Joe’s Hospice fund helps provide gentle and compassionate care for our most vulnerable patients at end of life.
Donations made to this fund will support patients and employees faced with unforeseen expenses due to the considerable costs of care or any other unexpected crisis. Examples include prescription co-pays, minor medical equipment, mortgage payments, transportation costs, heating bills and more. 100% of all gifts to this fund are allocated directly to expenses. This fund relies solely on philanthropic gifts and is the heart of St. Joseph Healthcare’s Mission.
This fund supports our Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner (SAFE) program. Donations to this fund help pay the costs for training and certification of additional SAFE nurses to meet the growing demand for services throughout the state of Maine.
The Ostomy Care Department is staffed with specialty trained nurses including registered nurses certified in wound, ostomy and incontinence nursing. Your support gives compassionate patient care, including through our monthly support group for ostomy patients and family members.
This fund supports nurses who are looking to attend continuing education conferences, classes, or who are working towards a new licensure.
