This multidisciplinary program includes physicians, respiratory therapists, and dietitians.
It is an individualized program of therapy for patients with emphysema, chronic bronchitis, bronchiectasis, chronic asthma or other related breathing problems. Following an examination by a physician, patients receive an initial evaluation followed by a 24-36 -session program of individualized exercise and educational instruction.
The Pulmonary Rehabilitation department also offers a monthly support group for patients with pulmonary disease.
The Better Breathers Club meets on the second Wednesday of each month at the Felician Conference Room, Second Floor, St. Joseph Healthcare. Members enjoy guest speakers and other activities.
