Summer Oakes, CNM, is a women’s health nurse practitioner at St. Joseph Internal Medicine specializing in primary care, women’s health, and midwifery. She is dedicated to patient-centered care, going beyond medical expertise to help individuals achieve their healthcare goals. Summer earned her nursing certificate and Master of Science in Nursing from Yale School of Nursing in New Haven, CT. She is affiliated with the American College of Nurse-Midwives and the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology.

She values treating each patient holistically, prioritizing open communication and building trusting relationships. Beyond her healthcare role, Summer enjoys creating delicious fruit pies in her kitchen and exploring the great outdoors of Maine with her two furry companions.
