In December, Edward and Mary Ellen* Darling gave an amazingly generous gift to fund a new endowment. The Edward O. and Mary Ellen Darling Building Endowment Fund will provide yearly income to support the maintenance of two key St. Joseph Healthcare buildings – the Edward O. and Mary Ellen Darling Building at 900 Broadway and the Clift Darling Houe at 106 Congress Street. 
Edward Darling said, “Mary Ellen and I care deeply about the work at St. Joseph Healthcare. They do so much for our community. Over the years, we helped fund improvements to two buildings that have our names on them. This gift will help maintain those buildings into the future for the benefit of all who utilize them for care.”

*Mary Ellen Darling passed on February 11, 2023. She was a supporter of St. Joseph Hospital since her teenage years when she first volunteered at the hospital. She will be missed deeply by our staff and the greater community.
