Dr. Heather Evans is serving as Immediate Past President of St Joseph Healthcare’s Medical staff. She is also a Family Medicine Doctor at St. Joseph Family Medicine-Evergreen Woods and served as Director of Family Medicine from 2012 – 2022 until she recently stepped down in 2022 to pursue other professional interests.
She received her B.S. degree in Nutritional Sciences from the University of New Hampshire and competed her medical education at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is Board Certified in both Family Medicine and Neuromuscular Medicine/Osteopathic Manipulation. Her interests include nutritional health, women’s health and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine as well as Aesthetic Medicine and Skin Health.
Education is important to Dr. Evans. She currently serves as a supervising physician for medical students and residents during their family medicine rotation. She also serves the community as an Advisory Board Member for the Beal College Medical Assistant program.
Dr. Evans enjoys spending time with (aka running around after) her two adolescent children and having fun with extended family and friends. She is passionate about travelling, reading, and enjoys great food (but admits she doesn’t love to cook)! Having grown up in Maine, she enjoys outdoor activities including hiking, skiing, and walks in the woods.
